Description

I actually forgot I had this data so it was a pleasant surprise to find it waiting to be processed.
There don't appear to be a lot of images on Astrobin of the above RCW targets which surprised me.
RCW103 is an interesting looking SNR which reminds me of the Crab nebula, if it was split open.
RCW103 is approx 10,000 light years away and about 2,000 years old. At it's heart lies a type of neutron star called a magnetar which only rotates once every 6.5 hours which is the slowest  pulsar ever found.
I think next year I might image RCW103 with the Meade 10" to bring out more of the detail
in that small nebula.
